16 Years to 30 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged between 16 and 30 years old; 2. Early osteoarthrosis: early osseous changes including loss of continuity of articular cortex and surface erosion, but no advanced osseous changes, such as generalized sclerosis, osteophyte, deviation in form, from cone beam computerized tomography; 3. No severe symptoms such as pain and limited mouth opening (less than 35 mm) that require timely treatment; 4. Informed consent was obtained from all volunteers.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Systemic arthritis; 2. Rheumatic or rheumatoid arthritis; 3. Acute synovitis or suppurative arthritis of temporomandibular joint; 4. Systemic diseases; 5. Psychologically distressed, such as suffering from anxious and depressive symptoms; 6. Oral and occlusal conditions not suitable for splint therapy.
