Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age: 60 years old and above; (2) The diagnostic criteria for diabetes mellitus: using ADA and WHO standards of 1997, which had typical symptoms of diabetes (polyuria, polydipsia and cannot explain the weight loss), blood glucose (BG) more than at least 11.1mmol/L or fasting blood glucose (FPG) more than at least 7.0mmol/L.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Type II diabetes serious complications, combined with cardiovascular, cerebral, renal or peripheral vascular lesions and it has clinical manifestations; (2) Liver and kidney dysfunction; (3) Poor diabetes control (HbA1c more than 8.5%); (4) Hyperthyroidism, malignant tumors or other endocrine diseases, or receiving hormone therapy; (5) Pregnant or lactating women; (6) Taking omiga-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid supplements in 6 months; (7) Less than 60 years of age; (8) Recent infection.
