Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Four hundred healthy women in Han nationality, aged 18-61 yr, weighing 41-78 kg, ASA physical status I or II, undergoing elective minor gynecological and obstetric surgery were enrolled in the present study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a language barrier to understand or communicate, psychotic disorders, chronic alcohol intake, taking a benzodiazepine or opioid medicine, allergic with propofol, or emotional (such as crying) before the operation, were excluded.
