Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted for AECOPD, aged elder than 40 years; 2. PCT level<0.1ng/ml 1 hour within admission..

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Intubation; 2. Fever (T=38?); 3. PCT level = 0.1 ng/ml 1 hour within admission; 4. no written informed consents; 5. Concurrent with pneumonia and/or chronic renal dysfunction; 6. Immunosuppressive therapy.
