Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who suffered unilateral or bilateral knee osteoarthritis, who aged 50 to 85 years and who were scheduled to undergo unilateral total knee replacement were potential candidates for this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who were undergoing a revision total knee replacement, had uncontrolled hypertension and/or diabetes, or had any neurological involvement that impaired motor functions of the lower extremities were excluded from our study.
