40 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) fasting glucose concentration: >7.0 mmol/L, HbA1c: 6.5%-7.5%; 2) Blood lipids normal or slightly increase (LDL1.29mmol/L for female, HDL>1.03 for male, TC<6.2 mmol/L, TG<2.3mmol/L); 3) Normal blood pressure (<90-120/60-90 mmHg); 4) BMI between 18.5 and 23.9, body weigh are stable for at least 3 months; 5) with age between 40 to 60 years; 6) Residents keeping a light physical activity level and living in Chongqing more than 5 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) planning pregnancy prior to the end of the intervention, or lactating or pregnant; 2) had Type 1 diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, acroalbuminuria (> 300 mg/24 h),anemia, hematologic abnormalities, malignancies, untreated thyroid disease, congestive heart failure, angina, proliferative retinopathy, diabetic neuropathy, eripheral vascular disease, serious psychological disorders; 3) taking oral hypoglycemic agents, insulin, weight-lowing medicine, lipid-lowering medicine, any antibiotic treatment or drugs or nutritional supplements affecting metabolism within 3 months before sample collection and during intervention period; 4) Low carbohydrate diet habit; 5) Poor adherence; 6) Serious reactions to the intervent.
