Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients with a DSM-IV clinical criteria for major depressive episode; 2. patients who are experiencing their first depressive episode; 3. patients aged between 13-17 years old, males and females; 4. right-handed; 5. Naked eyes or corrected to normal vision.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) had a history of serious physical, cerebral organic history or head injury; 2) mental retardation; 3) brain structural abnormalities; 4) uncooperative or can not effectively accomplish this experimenter; 5) drugs, alcohol or other psychotropic active substance abusers; 6) with cardiac pacemakers, insulin pumps, artificial heart valves and other metal in body.
