Protocal based treatment group:The primary care physicians (village doctors) in the intervention villages will receive training on using the protocol-based treatment of hypertension. The hypertension
usual care group:All hypertensive patients in the control villages will receive usual care based on China Hypertension Clinical Guideline in the routine practice.

40 Years to 100 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. aged 40 years and more; 2. mean SBP=140 mm Hg and/or mean DBP=90 mm Hg and/or using of antihypertensive drugs; 3. Village residents; 4. without immigration will in 2 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Unable to sign a consent form; 2. Malignant tumor undergoing treatment and life expectancy (to judge by the professional doctor) < 2 years; 3. Pregnant women, are trying to conceive, or may have fertility without contraception measures; 4. psychopath.
