Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: elderly patients with MCI (aged =60 years; ASA grade I-III) were enrolled in the study and scheduled for non-cardiac surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: already diagnosed in the databases with dementia;a current or past psychiatric illness (eg, any brain disorder affecting cognition other than MCI); current use of antidepressant or anti-anxiety medications; a history of drug dependence or alcohol abuse; a history of coronary artery, peripheral arterial or cerebrovascular disease; a severe visual, auditory, or motor handicap; or an acute infection,and preoperative hemoglobin <85 g/L.
