40 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged between 40 and 80 years; (2) Cerebral hemorrhage or cerebral infraction for the first time; (3) No sequelae after lacunar cerebral infraction; (4) Satisfying the cerebrovascular disease diagnostic criteria defined by The 4th National Conference on Cerebrovascular Disease, 1995; (5) Confirmed by head CT or MRI; (6) Time since stroke of 2 weeks at least and 1 year at most, with hand dysfunction; (7) Ipsilateral arm Brunnstrom recovery stages 15; (8) No formal TCM rehabilitation or modern rehabilitation before; (9) Signed informed consent himself (herself) or his (her) immediate family member; (10) Meet all the inclusion criteria above.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Not satisfying the cerebrovascular disease diagnostic criteria defined by The Fourth National Conference on Cerebrovascular Disease, 1995; 2. Not first cerebral hemorrhage or cerebral infraction, lacunar infraction with squelae; 3. Unconsciousness, dementia suggested by MMSE, or with sensory aphasia or mental disorders, cannot coordinate examination and treatment; 4. With serious illnesses, such as heart, liver or kidney diseases, or serious coagulation disorders; 5. With a history of cognitive disorder, neuropsychiatric disorder, drug or alcohol abuse; 6. With organ failure, carcinoma or fatal stroke that seriously affect life quality more than hand dysfunction; 7. Ipsilateral arm Brunnstrom recovery stages 6; 8. With formal TCM rehabilitation or modern rehabilitation before; 9. Time since stroke less than 2 weeks or more than 1 year; 10. Cannot complete basic course, cannot persist treatment, or be difficult to follow-up; 11. With upper limb metal implants.
