Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients (ASA physical status 1 or 2) receiving endotracheal intubation under monitored anesthesia care in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with difficult airway, cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, bleeding diatheses, pregnancy, obesity (body mass index [BMI] > 30), ASA III or IV, full stomach and cervical instability were excluded.
