Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Obese adolescents aged 12 through 18 years will be recruited from the children registered for the 2014 summer weight loss camp at Shanghai University of Sport. Obesity will be defined based on body-mass index (BMI), calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared (kg/m2), we chose BMI >=25 kg/m2 as a criterion to recruit obese adolescents.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are that if they have concomitant renal, hepatic, or cardiac disease, and/or are being treated with drugs that could affect body weight and appetite.
