Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children of ASA physical status I-II, aged between 3 and 36 months, scheduled to undergo echocardiography examination will be enrolled in this prospective randomized controlled trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria include known allergy or hypersensitive reaction to dexmedetomidine, organ dysfunction and mental retardation.
