18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged above 18 years and biopsy proven stage I, stage II, or stage III untreated cancer(including neoplasms of the upper, middle, or lower third of the esophagus) of the esophagus or esophagogastric junction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous gastric surgery, benign disease, advanced tumor stages (T4 disease), advanced lymph node involvement or distant metastasis, other reconstruction than gastric tube reconstruction, neoadjuvant chemotherapy or radiation therapy, and patients who withheld consent for the wrapping suturing with the esophageal flap technique.
