4 Years to 14 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 4 to 14 years who meet the diagnostic criteria for hematuria will be assessed. The diagnosis requires patients have 5 or more red blood cells per high-power field for at least 2 separate occasions on different days, and hematuria is the sole finding without hypertension, proteinuria and renal insufficiency.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded if the hematuria is due to 1) any known past or current kidney disease including glomerulonephritis and anomalies of the kidneys; 2) secondary glomerulonephritis, including systemic lupus erythematosus, Henoch-Schonlein purpura; 3) Hypercalciuria; 4) urinary tract infection.
