30 Years to 82 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. adults older than 20 years; 2. typical gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms such as heartburn, regurgitation, and acid reflux; 3. abnormally low LESP; and 4. acid reflux documented with 24-h oesophageal pH monitoring.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. abnormal gastrointestinal peristalsis with refractory gas bloating or constipation; 2. normal LESP; 3. negative acid reflux testing by pH monitoring; or 4. refusal to undergo long-term follow up or to sign informed consent.
