Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The diagnosed severe acute pancreatitis with gastrointestinal dysfunction; 2. Patients was admitted to hospital within 48h after pain onset.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. cannot use Liu-He-Dan on abdomen for other reasons, e.g. abdominal surgery or mental disorder; 2. Age = 18 years or >75 years; 3. Pregnant or breast feeding; 4. Pancreatic neoplasm as etiology; 5. Transfer to ICU or surgical intervention.
