Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed as schizophrenia according to ICD-10; 2. Aged between 18-60 years old; 3. Level of education above junior middle school; 4. At least one item of PANSS >=3; 5. A stable dose of a single antipsychotic medication for at least 4 weeks; 6. had the ability to provide an informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Been agitated, needing in-patient care or being hospitalized ; 2. Combined with other mental disorders; 3. Scored at least 5 on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale in conceptual disorganisation, poor rapport or lack of spontaneity and flow of conversation; 4. Had received electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) in the one months prior to entry into the study; 5. Were currently receiving other types of systematic psychotherapy; 6. Combined with severe or unstable physical diseases.
