Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients met the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th edition (DSM-IV; American Psychiatric Association), criteria for major depression; 2. The first time of depression attack in spring or autumn and no history of taking any antidepressants.(March-May belong to Spring, Sep-Nov belong to Autum); 3. Inpatients or outpatients; 4. Aged 18-45 year-old, male patients; 5. Signed informed consent; 6. HAMD-17 score >=17; 7. MADS score >=22; 8. HAMA14 score =22.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. major Axis I psychiatric disorders; 2. no history of any other psychiatric disorders; 3. no cognitive disorder or personality disorder; 4. past or present history of psychoactive substance abuse; 5. diastolic blood pressure =5; 8. Taking any drugs which inhibit CYP1A2 and CYP2C9, such as cipro, Propranolol,Grepafloxacin, Enoxacin; 9. Taking any drugs, such as Fluvastatinwho can compete to the research drug in metabolic pathway; 10. more than 5 cigarettes per day
