16 Years to 45 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizophreniform disorder (DSM-IV); 2) Total score of PANSS>60; 3) Duration<24 months; 4) Age 16~40 years; 5) Male or Female; 6) Serum IgG or IgM antibodies to T. gondii are positive; 7) Subject and/or legal guardian or representative (if assigned) has signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) A DSM-IV Axis I diagnosis other than schizophrenia or schizophreniform disorder; 2) DSM-IV diagnosis of substance abuse or dependence within 3 months prior to selection; 3) Medical co-morbidity: CNS disease; serious, unstable illnesses including hepatic, renal, gastroenterologic, respiratory, cardiovascular (including ischemic heart disease), endocrinologic, neurologic, immunologic, or hematologic disease and so on; receive an agent with potential to affect immune system; 4) Pregnancy or unwilling to avoid pregnancy; 5) History of treatment with antipsychotic medicine for more than 4 consecutive weeks; 6) History of severe drug allergy or hypersensitivity; 7) Participate in other clinical studies within the past 1 month.
