Two groups:Acupressure versus sham acupressure

65 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Older people (over 65 years old); 2) Diagnosed and documented to have dementia by a physician (according to DSM-IV-TR); 3) In a state of agitation (according to the criteria set in the instruction manual of Cohen-Mansfield Agitation Inventory).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Skin problems on acupoints (eg. skin breakdown, infection); 2) Musculo-skeletal problems (eg. amputation on the acupoints).
