Age
55 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a. Meet NINCDS/ADARA criteria; b. Aged 55 to 90 years; c. Meet the diagnosis of PTOO; d. Stable treatment of the western medicine over the last 4 weeks; e. Presence of mild to moderate dementia (score of =10 on the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and< 3 on Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (CDR); f. Normal liver and renal function in blood test.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. AD accompanied with other dementia; b. AD accompanied with PD; c. Cannot persist with treatments and does not cooperate with treatment procedures, d. Allergic physique and allergic to Chinese or western medical drugs; e. Severe diseases (i.e. cancer, severe cardiovascular, hepatic, or renal disease or impaired red cell production).
