Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I-II patients aged 18–59 years, scheduled for elective conventional thyroidectomy under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A previous malignant disease, previous thyroid surgery or neck surgery, patients who received antiemetic therapy witin 48 hours before surgery and those with chronic pain disorder, diabetes mellitus, a history of severe and/or repeated PONV, or motion sickness, patients had recently suffered from headache or neck pain, or had used NSAIDs or any other analgesic drugs.
