Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 150 patients aged 20-60 years, ASA I-II, who required general anesthesia with nasotracheal intubation for maxillary and mandibular fracture surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who were complicated with cardiovascular disease, basal skull fracture, respiratory infection, nasal malformation, mental disorders, those with smoking history and those who had gastroesophageal reflux, hiatal hernia, esophageal disease and pharyngeal and epiglottic tumors were excluded.
