Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Being aged 8 to 17 years old and having the ability to complete the questionnaire previously untreated and was diagnosed within the last 12 months prior to the study. All children had divergence excess or basic-type exotropia. The angle of deviation was between 20 PD and 45 PD. All of the patients had no other eye problems besides the refractive error.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: child had a near angle >=10 prism diopter (PD) greater than distance (convergence insufficiency type exotropia)
