Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Proven by renal biopsy as primary glomerular disease, urine protein excretion no less than 2000mg after a four-week treatment of standardized glucocorticoid and an additional immunosuppressant needed; 2. Adult patients aged more than 18 years; 3. Estimated glomerular filtration rate >=60ml/min/1.73m2; 4. All patients received therapy of telmisartan 80mg/d; 5. An informed consent was obtained from every subject.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with urine protein excretion less than 2000mg four weeks after glucocorticoid therapy; 2. Secondary glomerular diseases; 3. Chronic wasting disease, or acute inflammatory; 4. Stress, or life-threatening state; 5. BMI >=28 kg/m2 or <=14 kg/m2; 6. pregnancy or lactation.
