Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We required them to be female, in good general health, premenopausal women aged 30-40y and postmenopausal women aged 50-60y.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were as follows: any major active disease, including diabetes, dyslipidemia, coronary heart disease, stroke, hypo- or hyperthyroidism, renal or hepatic disease, malignancy or metabolic bone disease; regular medication use which was likely to interfere with the study; a serum 25(OH)D concentration 15%.
