Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients were over 55 and less than 80 years old with age-related cataract scheduled for uncomplicated phacoemulsification surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All the cases with history of ocular inflammation, ocular or systematic diseases (glaucoma, diabetes, etc) interfering with pupil diameter, intraoperative complications, or were allergic to any drug used, were all excluded.
