Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. type 2 diabetes is diagnosed through 75g OGTT based on the diagnostic criteria of World Health Organization (WHO) in 1999; 2. No biguanides have been taken last 3 months; 3. type 2 diabetes patients should only taken glimepiride as anti-diabetes medicine, and HbA1c should below 7.0%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Women who were currently pregnant and breastfeeding; 2. allergic with biguanides; 3. people who not willing to accept dynamic blood glucose monitoring; 4. subjects with hypertension, coronary heart disease and other chronic diseases history; 5. patients with diabetic nephropathy, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic foot, diabetic retinopathy and histories of other diabetes chronic complications; 6. patients with diabetic acute complications, such as diabetic ketosis. paitents with abonormal hepar and renal functions.
