Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: According to the diagnostic criteria for sepsis on American Thoracic Society in 1992 (American College of Chest Physicians / Society of Critical Care Medicine, ACCP / SCCM) and the pre-DIC diagnostic criteria established on the seventh country thrombosis and Bleeding meeting in 1999.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: thrombotic disease; patients who need the blood or peritoneal dialysis for the chronic renal failure; patients with severe chronic lung, kidney, or liver diseases; patients with contraindications of using heparin like congenital bleeding disorders or bleeding tendencies; patients with a history of serious head injury, intracranial surgery or stroke within 28 days of enrollment in the study; patients with a brain arteriovenous malformation, cerebral aneurysm or a history of extensive damage on central nervous system.
