Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Total bilirubin elevations before ERCP were more than 2 times the upper limit of normal(>34.2umol/L); 2. Body temperature<=37.5 degree C; 3. WBC count was normal (4.0-10.0*10^9/L); 4. Bile duct obstruction was diagnosed by ultrasound/CT/MRCP.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Total bilirubin elevations before ERCP were less than 2 times the upper limit of normal (5.1-34.2.1µmol/L); 2. Body temperature>37.5 degree C; 3. WBC count>10.0*10^9/L; 4. Antibiotics were administered before ERCP; 5. Previous biliary intervention (PTC, EST, EPBD and stenting); 6. Surgically altered anatomy; 7. ERCP contraindication.
