Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Subjects are selected MHD patients from local hemodialysis center who are dialyzed twice or three times a week (total treatment>=10 hours). Those meeting all of the following criteria are included: 1. Duration of dialysis ranging between 12 and 120 month; 2. Age 18~75 years; 3. Insomnia according to DSM-IV-TR; 4. Global score of PSQI >7; 5. Abstinence from hypnotics, or using a lowest maintaining dose of hypnotics(e.g. eszolam <=1mg/d), during the last three months; 6. Informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with any of the following conditions are excluded: presence of concurrent affections (e.g. cancer, congestive heart failure, connective tissue disease, hematologic diseases) and of psychiatric disorders; inadequately dialyzed, indicating by urea clearance index (KT/V) lower than 1.20; presence of severe physical symptoms such as bone pain and itchy skin that are obviously causative for insomnia; and weary condition caused by severe anemia (hemoglobin<60g/L) or malnutrition (serum albumin<30g/L).
