Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who were aged 18 years or older and were scheduled for elective pancreaticoduodenectomy; 2. To be willing to assign informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those who did not consent, those with metastatic disease, gastric outlet; obstruction, tumor infiltration into the stomach, previous gastric surgery, and poorly controlled diabetes mellitus were excluded.
