Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients were considered eligible for the study if they were diagnosed as coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, stroke, fatal arrhythmia, hereditary heart disease (such as: L-QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome), hypertrophy cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, heart failure and other heart diseases; and had at least one adult family member residing in the same household.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Family members were excluded if they had a physical or mental disability that might affect performance of CPR or if they had taken a CPR class within the preceding 2 years. Moreover, families were excluded if their overall performances or CPR-related knowledge was classified as inadequate. Patients and family members were also excluded if either were younger than 18 years or were health care providers(ie doctor, nurse and paramedic).
