Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who were aged 18 years or older and were scheduled for elective hepatic resection; 2. To be willing to assign informed consent and abide by treatment scheme as well as follow-up plan.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. emergency surgery; 2. liver resection performed by laparoscopy; 3. diabetes mellitus under insulin control; 4. treatment with antibiotics within 1 week before surgery; 5. patients with a planned extrahepatic resection; 6. coagulopathy; 7. severe heart disease; 8. pulmonary hypertension; 9. renal insufficiency (ie, serum creatinine >2 mg/dL or requiring dialysis); 10. delectrolyte imbalance; 11. poor compliance.
