Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All participants (40-69 years old) took part in the endoscopic staining examination with 1.2% iodine solution. Moreover, biopsies were taken from a non-staining area of the mucosa recording the location of mucosal biopsy by a standard method, and the subjects underwent separate pathologic evaluations carried out by two pathologists, who independently reviewed histological slides from the biopsies.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We excluded those with liver diseases, diabetes, or cardiovascular diseases including coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure diagnosed via general medical check, electrocardiogram and abdomen supersonic inspection.
