Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients admitted to the ICU; 2. older than 18 years; 3. requiring enteral nutrition for more than 3 days.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. with history of percutaneous gastrostomy or gastrojejunostomy; 2. intubation intolerance; 3. esophageal varices or strictures; 4. previous major gastro-esophageal surgery (e.g. esophagectomy or gastrectomy); 5. pregnant; 6. history of allergy to metoclopramide, domperidone or meglumine diatrizoate.
