Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients performed hepatectomy as a result of liver cancer were enrolled who had malnourished preoperatively according to Subjective Global Assessment(SGA). They were considered malnourished if they met either or both of two criteria: (1) a score of 100 or less on the Nutrition Risk Index(NRI), calculated according to the following formula: 1.519*the serum albumin level(g/L)+0.417*(current weight/usual weight)*100 or (2) any two of the following: a current weight that was 95 percent of the ideal weight or less; a serum albumin level of 35.0g per liter or less; or a serum prealbumin level of 200mg per liter or less.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, severe hemorrhagic disorders, explicit acute infectious lesion, overt ascites, Child-Pugh Score C, indocyanine green retention rate at 15min(ICGR15)>30%, serum HBV-DNA>1000K copies/ml and serum alanine aminotransferase>2*ULN, serum triglycerides>2.0mmol/L, circulatory shock, stroke, acute myocardial infarction, renal failure,coma of unknown cause, pregnancy, age of75 yrs, and allergic reactions against fish or egg proteins.
