18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult critically illed patients (>=18 years) with an expected need of mechanical ventilation for at least 48h

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) age 80 years; (2) severe multiple organ failure, APACHE II scores > or = 30; (3) patients who were mechanically ventilated more than 72 hours before admission to ICU; (4) enteral feeding can not start; (5) orally administration of immunodepressants a week before admission or diagnosed with immune supressed diseases, such as maglinant tumor, AIDS, HIV carriers; (6) pregnancy or lactation.
