Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Preoperative diagnosis of liver tumor involving the roots of the hepatic veins (at least one major hepatic vein was oppressed or invaded) suitable for partial hepatectomy; (2) No other concomitant major surgical procedures, such as bowel or bile duct resection; (3) Without cirrhosis or compensated cirrhosis with Child- Pugh Class A or B.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Liver tumor without involving the roots of the hepatic veins; (2) Neither the Pringle's maneuver nor hemihepatic vascular exclusion performed during hepatectomy; (3) Patients that can not be followed-up regularly.
