Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged 18 to 80 years old; 2. Presence of two of the following three criteria: abdominal pain characteristic of AP; serum amylase or lipase >=3 times the upper limit of normal; characteristic of AP on CT San; 3. Clinical diagnosis of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) as defined by the Atlanta symposium: organ failure and/or local pancreatic complications, Ranson signs >=3, APACHE II score >=8; 4. The duration of the disease <=72 hours (begin with the onset of abdominal pain); 5. pancreatic ascites ere confirmed by diagnostic paracentesis, ultrasound or computed tomography examination; 6. signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. age 80 years of age; 2. Admitted to the hospital after 72 hours of SAP onset; 3. ascites due to non-acute pancreatitis (such as liver, heart, kidney and cancer caused ascites); 4. Known pregnancy or breast feeding period; 5. refused to sign the informed consent.
