Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) distal occlusion of bilateral Fallopian tubes diagnosed by pre-operative hysterosalpingography (HSG); 2) no pregnancy with regular sexual intercourse without contraception for at least 24 months; 3) regular menstruation with diphase basal temperature; 4) no pelvic organ abnormalities in ultrasonography; 5) normal gonadal hormone results; 6) negative results in mycoplasma and chlamydia DNA tests; and 7) normal semen test results for the partners.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) proximal occlusion of either unilateral or bilateral Fallopian tubes diagnosed by pre-operative HSG; 2) major disorders in heart, liver, kidney, and brain, etc; 3) use of sexual hormone agents within 3 months prior to surgery; 4) history of dysmenorrhea; 5) history of tuberculosis at any site; and 6) history of previous abdominal surgery.
