Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with COPD; 2. TCM syndromes: lung-spleen qi deficiency, lung-kidney qi deficiency, qi and yin deficiency of lung-kidney, or combined with blood stasis and damp-phlegm obstructing lung; 3. In stable phase of COPD, stage I to III; 4. Aged between 40 and 80 years old; 5. Not been included in other drug trials within one month; 6. Undergo a two-week wash-out; 7. Sign informed consent forms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. In acute exacerbation period of COPD; 2. Stage IV COPD; 3. Pregnant or breast-feeding females; 4. With conscious disturbance, dementia or psychotic disorders; 5. With severe heart failure; 6. With asthma, bronchiectasis or active tuberculosis; 7. With difuse panbronchiolitis; 8. With pneumothorax, pleural effusion or pulmonary embolism; 9. With neuro-muscular diseases that can influence respiratory movements; 10. With tumors; 11. With severe liver or kidney diseases; 12. Bed-ridden for a long period; 13. Been treated with glucocorticoids within one month; 14. Congenital or acquired immune deficiency; 15. Participating in other clinical trials or allergic to the drugs.
