Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Heroin dependence as assessed by DSM-IV; 2. Detoxified for one year; 3. No significant mental illness and physical illness; 4. Able and willing to provide signed informed consent; 5. Able and willing to participate in group psychotherapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Schizophrenia, psychosis or organic mental disorder by DSM-IV criteria; 2. Substance dependence other than heroin; 3. Heart, liver, kidney, and other major organ dysfunction; 4. Hematopoietic and endocrine system diseases; 5. Unable or unwilling to perform treatment following the research schedule; 6. Any other unsuitable reasons for the trial.
