Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients 18 to 60 years of age and who had AS according to the modified 1984 New York Criteria for AS; 2. active disease defined by a Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI) score of at least 4; 3. both male and female; 4. the patients with ankylosing spondylitis with Gan-shen deficiency and Moist Heat Arthralgia Spasm Syndrome type; 5. Signed the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. 4 weeks before the start of this study had participated in others clinical trials; 2. Pregnant women or lactating women; 3. Who can not be tolerated drug during the course of the study; 4. server primary disease in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, liver, kidney and hemopoietic system; 5. severe joint deformities, loss of function in patients with ankylosing spondylitis; 6. patients who with seronegative spondy loarthropathies, or complicating with other rheumatic; 7. the psychiatric patients.
