Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) pathologically proven gastric adenocarcinoma, located at lower third of stomach and predictively feasible of distal gastrectomy; 2) predictively resectable diseases, either early or locally advanced gastric cancer, of preoperative staging JGCA 14th Edition cT1N0M0-T4aN2M0, I-IIIb, except T4b; 3) aged between 18 yrs and 75 yrs; 4) no severe comorbidities; 5) WHO performance score <2; 6) no limitation of gender and race; 7) informed consent required.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) primary lesion can not be resected in the pattern of distal gastrectomy, but total gastrectomy, Whipple's procedure, or combined organ resection; 2) previous gastric malignancy, such as lymphoma, GIST etc; 3) previous other malignancy; 4) with severe comorbidity, and intolerant of either laparoscopic or open abdominal operation; 5) emergency operation due to hemorrhage or perforation of tumor; 6) comtaminated with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy or adjuvant radiotherapy.
