Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age=1 cm) found with preoperative color ultrasonography; 4. no tumor invasion of thyroid capsule found preoperatively and intraoperatively; 5. differentiated thyroid carcinoma confirmed histopathologically by preoperative fine needle biopsy or intraoperative excision biopsy; 6. informed consent to endoscopic near-total thyroidectomy or conversion to open surgery and functional neck dissection.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Age>=61 years; 2. with hoarseness caused by tumor invasion of recurrent laryngeal nerve; 3. with metastatic cervical lymph nodes; 4. with tracheal stenosis or deformation caused by tumor compression or invasion; 5. with history of thyroid surgery; 6. rejection to endoscopic surgery; 7. pregnant and lactating women.
