Interventions

1:the control group are given extended release nifedipine tablets 10mg bid and Enalapril Maleate Tablets 10mg bid.and if the participent couln't resist the adverse reaction,change to indapamide tablet
2:on the basic medication of the control group ,the treatment group are given different herbal medicine according to the syndrome differentiation

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meeting the diagnostic criteria of first and second degree of hypertension in western medicine, as well as the standard of syndrome differentiation in TCM, including the syndrome of collateral stagnation of phlegm and blood stasis, yin deficiency and yang flaming up, kidney deficiency; 2. Patients, who are newly diagnosed hypertension or doesn't administrate antihypertensive drugs more than 2 weeks, are included if their systolic blood pressure in the range of 140mmhg to 180mmhg, or their diastolic blood pressure within 90mmhg to 110mmHg after repeated measured 3 times in a week or not the same day; 3. Patients who have already administrated antihypertensive drugs with dosage and species stablely more than 2 weeks, are still included if their blood pressure are the same as above; 4. Urine level of microalbumiuria in the range of 30mg/l to 300mg/l.or the level of beta 2-microglubulin is above 0.3mg/l; 5. Aging between 60 to 79 years old; 6. Knowing the details and having signed the informed consent forms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Secondary hypertension; 2. The 3rd degree of hypertension; 3. Allergies or people who are allergy to many kinds of drugs; 4. Combined with the Clinical manifestations of organ damage below,for example, As to the heart, including the unstable angina pectoris, heart failure(above 3 degree), valvular heart disease, cardiac muscular disease, et al; as to the brain, including Hypertensive encephalopathy; to the fundus, including retinal hemorrhage, exudation with or without Papilledema; to the kidney, including the serum creatinine level above 177mmol/l, the urinary protein level above 300mg in 24 hours, kidney function failure; 5. People who have myocardial infarction and stroke history with 1 year, or have mental disease, serious primary disease in liver, kidney, Hematopoietic system, et al.; 6. Resistant hypertension, which couldn't cure by combination of three drugs (ACEI, CCB and Diuretics); 7. Patients who have hyperuricemia and gout histories.
