Group B:Methylphenidate was dosed at 5 mg two times daily and behavioral management and additional moderate physical activity (135 miutes per week)
Group A:Methylphenidate was dosed at 5 mg two times daily and behavioral management

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Males aged 6 to 12 years old; 2. Meet the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for ADHD of combined type.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of neurological disease or a diagnosis of schizophrenia; 2. Affective disorder 3. Extreme morbid obesity (body mass index>40 kg/m2. 4. Full scale Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Chinese Children - Revised (WISCC-R) score of less than 80.
