Group A:Simplified Psychoeducation (Study 1 - 8 weekly sessions in group format
Study 2 - 4 bi-weekly sessions in individual format. Training involves education on dementia and care techniques via didactic instruction. Booster after 1 year.)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria are: (a) aged 18+, and (b) a primary caregiver. Primary caregivers are those who provides the greatest amount of unpaid care (at no less than 20 hours per week) to the care-recipient and is primarily responsible for making day-to-day care decisions. Care includes providing assistance in any of the following: feeding, dressing, appearance, moving around, bed transfer, bathing, toileting, using telephone, transportation, shopping, preparing meals, housework, taking medication, and handling money.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those with cognitive impairment (i.e., Mini-Mental State Examination [MMSE] <23) will be excluded.
